Greece-Albania Border Point Reopened
The border point of Kakavija reopens for traffic after the new system has been put into operation at the Greek customs points.
Meanwhile, the day before, the border police announced that this Tuesday the work was limited and only Greek citizens and those with a residence permit were allowed to pass.
"We inform citizens and drivers who have planned to travel to Greece or vice versa, that from 09:00 to 18:00 on 07.03.2023, at the border crossing points on the Greek side, because they will carry out works on the data processing system, in order to install the new SIS system, so there will be delays and occasional work interruptions.
Only Greek citizens and citizens who have a residence permit in Greece will not have obstacles to cross.
In order not to create queues, long waits and confusion at the border crossing points, we ask for the understanding of citizens and vehicle drivers to avoid moving towards the border crossing points with Greece, in the time frame 09:00 - 18:00, dated 07.03.2023", it was said in the police announcement the day before.
