Greek Police Arrest Albanian on Drug Trafficking Charges
The Greek police at the Central Port Authority of Piraeus have arrested an Albanian for violating the drug law.
The officers of the Regional Drug Prosecution Group have located the moving vehicle of the 36-year-old Albanian in the area of Nea Smyrni, for which information was received regarding drug trafficking.
During the inspection, carefully hidden under the gear lever, three packages of pharmaceutical preparations were found and seized, in which there were twenty-five nylon packages with cocaine. On examination of the seized evidence, it was found that he was in possession of ten packets weighing 0.75 g each, fourteen packets of 1.00 g and one packet of 2.00 g. Also, an amount of €4,550 and a notebook with handwritten notes and two mobile phones were seized from him.
In a check in the apartment of the 36-year-old Albanian, in the area of Agios Dimitrios, Attica, two plastic containers with raw cannabis plant extracts, 544.60 g gross, nylon packaging with suspected narcotic substances were discovered. Several doses of cocaine with different weights, metal containers with raw cannabis plant extracts, two precise electronic scales with traces of cocaine, as well as €13,550 in cash were also seized.
