Over 300 Doctors, Nurses Vaccinated in 6 Days
This Saturday marks the sixth day since the beginning of the COVID vaccination process in Albania. So far, 308 doctors, nurses and health personnel of 4 COVID hospitals have been vaccinated.
Manjola Shtylla, coordinator for vaccination stated that the process which will continue during the weekends without interruption.
She said that currently in the stadium 'Air Albania' there are 8 posts where over 50 vaccines are made per day. The coordinator also explained the way of transporting the vaccine to the stadium.
The vaccine, which is stored in the IPH in refrigerators with a temperature of - 80 degrees Celsius, is transported to the stadium accompanied by police. There, the vaccine is kept in small refrigerators at a temperature of 2-8 degrees Celsius for several hours.
"So far, over 300 people from COVID hospitals have been vaccinated. The vaccination process continues today, it will continue on Sunday. Over 50 people are vaccinated every day. The vaccine comes from the IPH accompanied by police forces, where it is stored at minus temperature. "80 degrees, in the stadium it is stored at 2-8 degrees," said Shtylla.
The vaccination coordinator said that 6 doses are performed with one vial. She declared that persons who are vaccinated are further monitored through the family doctor.
