Head of Albanian Emergency service after recovering from Covid-19

High Daily Increase in Covid-19 Cases, Albania to Review Restrictions

Countries around the world are reimposing lockdowns and implementing new health restrictions at their borders in an effort to curb a resurgence of the coronavirus before it spins even further out of control.

The Head of National Emergency in Albania, Skender Brataj, announced on Thursday that Albania is discussing the possibility to reimpose some restrictions or tightens measures to control the coronavirus spread.

However, he totally denied a possible return of lockdown.

As Brataj explained, the experts are considering to close those businesses that turned in coronavirus hotbeds, as this measure will be partially, isolating all those infected.

"We have already said that the number of those infected with Covid-19 will be increase during July-August. I believe that on September we will evaluate the measures to control virus spread. We hope that on September we have better figures as face masks become mandatory indoors. We are not talking for another lockdown, but there might be a tightening of measures," said Brataj.

He urged to all the citizens to collaborate and respect social distance and all covid-19 rules.
