Homicides in Albania Have Fallen to Historic Minimum; PM

Prime Minister Edi Rama has declared that the number of murders in Albania has fallen to a historic minimum. During his speech, at the meeting of the Assembly of the Social Party, he stated that this year so far, as an 8-month period, they have recorded the highest year-on-year decline.

"I am not going to dwell on the murders that have not only fallen as they did in every year of our government, but this year so far, as an 8-month period, they have marked the highest historic year-on-year decline. 40% victims in less than a year, where we had the lowest number of victims in the last 3 years.

As for the tourism sector, Rama said that this year has been good for tourism in Albania, but the government has the task of correcting the current situation along with the demand for services.

"Well, for me and for those who have gathered here, it is an attempt to put Albania on the political, economic and tourist map of Europe. It is that with those 1 million Albanians and with those millions of others who support us from afar, also those millions and millions of foreigners who are visiting this country.

This reality is way better than that of yesterday and way more problematic than that of the future. Therefore, and our main task is to inculcate it in our heads, is that necessity should feed more into our organization. Certainly no one will turn a blind eye to the fundamental problems that need to be solved. The word comes from the structure of Ksamil, which this year became a symbol of Albania in foreign media, or in a row and several other points, from Shkodra e Lezha to Durrës and Saranda. The correction of the present coincides with the fact that no one closes their eyes even in the pits of quite a few hotels or tourist resorts. The correction of the present requires that this force not close alongside the demand for service".
