A criminal event is prevented in Këlcyrë this Friday, where a man was arrested holding a weapon.

Official sources from the police informed that in the city of Këlcyrë, the citizen Seit Alikollari, in a drunken state, after a conflict for no apparent motives with the citizen named A.S., went to take a firearm and headed to the dwelling of the person with whom debated.

The Police services, as a result of the control of the territory and information received that this citizen was circulating with weapons and could be involved in criminal events, have exercised detailed control of the territory. As a result, near the city center of Këlcyrë, they ascertained Alikollari, who was moving with a Kalashnikov firearm.

At the moment of the intervention of the Police services, the citizen S. A. tried to use the weapon towards the blue uniforms. Thanks to the professionalism of the Police services, it was possible to neutralize and arrest him in flagrante delicto.

They have seized as material evidence the automatic firearm and combat bullets.

The materials were forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office at the Përmet Judicial District Court, for further action.
