Kavaja Folk Bewail to Opposition Leader for Lack of Work

Leader of the Democratic Party (DP) Lulzim Basha, held meetings Thursday afternoon with businesses and citizens in the city of Kavaja, with whom he discussed the main problems of their daily lives.

During Basha’s visit there, a citizen complained to him for being unemployed, because her family owns a seasonal commercial activity that has provided work and income only during the three months of summer for the last 2 years.

“Now, the matter of the pandemic has penalized us, to be honest, and we have a couple of years without work, we have gone straight down. We have a business that is only seasonal, three summer months and now two years, I said we are out of work”, marked the entrepreneur in need of work.

However, the Opposition Leader noted several problems as to why the citizen’s business is suffering. He pointed out it has been years that the number of young coupled has gone down, many young people have left the country and lots of other people do not have the necessary financial means to afford the services.

Albania’s economic situation has become so difficult that many couples choose to marry without ceremony and this without question also impacts your venture, added Basha.

“Mass departure of young people is a big problem and for us this is like so to say, it is a national catastrophe, it is one of the biggest problems and it is one of the biggest challenges to solve. Because indeed, there has always been emigration, there has been and there will be even in societies with stronger economies.

12 times more leave Albania than Serbia. This is unacceptable! Why? Because we have 8 years that the economy has stuck in the standstill”, declared DP’s Chair in the conversation with the citizens.
