A criminal event has been prevented in Saranda, as announced this Friday.

Four people had planned the kidnapping of a 49-year-old man at gunpoint, for weak motives.

On Thursday, on "Skënderbeu" street, in district no. 1, the services of the Sarandë Police Station have stopped the "BMW" type vehicle, in which the four people were traveling.

During the search of the vehicle, in the passenger seat, where the 29-year-old Juljan Brinja was, the police services found 1 firearm, a pistol and plastic ties, which were seized as material evidence. His brother, Sandri Brinja, was with him.

Four persons are accused of the criminal offenses "Illegal Deprivation of Liberty", remaining in the attempt, carried out in cooperation and "Unauthorized production and possession of weapons, explosive weapons and military ammunition".
