The police of Saranda prevented a serious event, after four citizens who were armed and prepared to kidnap a 49-year-old man for weak motives were arrested in the act. Regarding this event, the Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, congratulates the State Police in Saranda and emphasizes the fact that the Police must cooperate with the citizens and will provide police intelligence in order to prevent criminal events. 

The four citizens arrested in the act are Juljan Brinja, Sandri Brinja, Gjergji Prenga and Angelos Tsimperis, and pistol-type firearms, military ammunition and plastic ties were also seized. 

"The State Police must do everything for the prevention of criminal events and the crackdown on illegal possession of weapons, which directly affect the increase in the safety parameters of life and property of citizens. 

I congratulate the State Police of Saranda, for increasing the preventive and striking forces, which resulted in the prevention of an attempt to deprive a citizen of his freedom, by 4 armed citizens. 

The State Police must cooperate with the citizens and will provide police intelligence, in order to prevent criminal events," Balla said.
