Kosovo Approves Vaccination for Children Aged 12-15 Years Old

Kosovo has approved the vaccination of children aged 12-15 years old with the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine.

The Ministry of Health has announced that the vaccination of this age group is done in all vaccination centers against coronavirus and that it will be performed only in the presence of parents.

“For the vaccination of children of this age group, their parents or legal guardians do not need to make an appointment in advance, but only to appear at the vaccination center in the respective municipality. This decision is based on the recommendations of the EMA, FDA, CDC, and the practices of many countries which have so far achieved significant rates of vaccination of children of this age with the COVID-19 vaccine," the statement said.

The Ministry of Health has also emphasized that the effectiveness of this vaccine is high, referring to the countries which have started to apply the vaccine against Covid in this age group. The Ministry also encourages parents to vaccinate their children to prevent the spread of the virus.
