Kosovo Judoka Wins Gold Medal in Judo Grand Slam

Kosovo Judoka Nora Gjakova has won the gold medal in the Judo Grand Slam that is being held in Baku, Azerbaijan. 

The Kosovar Judoka managed to triumph in this competition, while the participants were 446 in total from 61 countries. 

Nora started her journey from the second round, until she won by 'ippon' against the Polish Arleta Podolak, in the third round she also won by 'ippon' against the German Seija Ballhaus, while in the quarterfinals she defeated Priscilla Gneto of France, also by 'ippon'. 

In the semi-finals, the judoka from Peja defeated the Turkish Hasret Bozkurt, to pass to the grand final, where she faced Eteri Liperteliani from Georgia. 

Gjakova defeated the Georgian with Waza-ari, thus winning Kosovo the gold medal.
