Kosovo-Montenegro Sign Bilateral Open Sky Corridor Deal

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, received this Friday in meeting the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic with whom they signed the bilateral agreement on the open sky corridor, which provides for the permission to use the airspace of Montenegro by airplanes flying from Pristina Airport. 

Before the meeting with Kurti, around 08:15, Abazovic and the accompanying delegation were received by the mayor of the Municipality of Pristina, Përparim Rama, who also presented them with the "Key of Pristina". 

Abazovic arrived in Pristina on Thursday and visited religious and cultural facilities, including the Çarshi Mosque in Pristina and the Mother Teresa Cathedral. 

The Prime Minister of Montenegro also met the former President of the Republic of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga. 

Following his visit, which is expected to end on Saturday, Abazovic has announced a meeting with leaders of parliamentary political parties. He will meet with the chairman of the PDK, Memli Krasniqi, with the chairman of the LDK, Lumir Abdixhiku. 

Also, Abazovic will meet the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Emilija Rexhepi, the multi-ethnic group in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, and ministers from non-majority communities. 

Prime Minister Abazovic will meet with KFOR General Michelle Rastucia and will visit the National Gallery of Kosovo accompanied by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, Hajrulla Çeku, and the director of the National Gallery, Alisa Gojani. 

During his working visit to Kosovo, Abazovic will visit Peja, where he will meet with the mayor of the municipality, Gazmend Muhaxheri, and will see closely the implementation of the IPA project, which is being implemented between Montenegro and the Republic of Kosovo. 

Abazovic will visit the historic Residence of Ibrahim Rugova and pay homage to his grave in Pristina, as well as pay homage to the grave of university professor and poet from Ulcinj, Basri Çapriç. 

Meetings with the honorary consul of Montenegro in Kosovo, Gazmend Abrashi, and with the honorary consul of the Republic of Kosovo in Montenegro, Shkëlqim Devolli, are part of Abazovi?'s agenda. Also, meetings with organizations and private universities are planned.
