Kosovo President Meets NATO Commander in Italy

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, met this Monday with the Commander of the NATO Allied Forces Command, Admiral Stuart B. Munsch. In a press release, the presidency announced that Osmani thanked the admiral for NATO's support in maintaining stability and peace in Kosovo and the region after the September 24 terrorist attack. 

"The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today in a meeting Admiral Stuart B. Munsch, Commander of the Allied Joint Forces Command of NATO in Naples. She thanked him for NATO's continued support in maintaining stability and peace in Kosovo and the region, following Serbia's act of aggression and terrorist attack on Kosovo on September 24. 

It is further said that Osmani also spoke about the need to take concrete measures against Serbia after the terrorist attack in Banjska. Osmani also said that Serbia should withdraw its military troops from the border with Kosovo. 

"President Osmani emphasized the need to take concrete measures against Serbia after the act of aggression and terrorist attack by paramilitary and criminal groups led on the ground by Milan Radoicic and politically by Aleksandar Vucic. She underlined that Serbia should withdraw its military troops from the border with Kosovo as they pose a danger to peace and stability in the region." 

Osmani appreciated the increased commitment of KFOR and NATO to increase security along the Kosovo-Serbia border. 

"She appreciated the increased commitment of KFOR and NATO in increasing security along the Kosovo-Serbia border and considered it as a necessary action to prevent the repetition of the act that happened on September 24. In the meeting, the importance of close cooperation between the security institutions of Kosovo and those of NATO was emphasized, in dealing with security challenges in the country and the region."
