The Government of Kosovo, in the last meeting, has decided to apply reciprocity to Serbia for an identity card. 

According to the decision, Serbian citizens entering Kosovo will be provided with a declaration form that temporarily replaces the use of official identification documents. 

The declaration form will create a basis for circulation in the territory of the Republic of Kosovo and for use within state institutions. 

"The approval of the government cabinet was taken by the decision according to which every person who presents for crossing the state border with a personal identification document issued by the Serbian authorities, to be provided at the border crossings with a declaration form that temporarily replaces the use of such document. The declaration sheet will create a basis for circulation in the territory of the Republic of Kosovo and for use within state institutions ", it is said in the decision of the Government, Kosovar media report. 

Also, the decision was made to give the residents, mainly in the north of the country who have license plates issued by Serbia, but on behalf of the cities of Kosovo, another chance, as it was said recently, to return RKS license plates. 

After failing to reach an agreement with the Serbian side regarding the license plates, despite several meetings in Brussels, the Government of Kosovo had announced that it has prepared a plan which it will vote on in the coming days, through which it is trying to resolve the issue of license plates. 

The details of the executive have not been disclosed yet, but they have stressed that after the failure of an agreement in Brussels, they are taking this unilateral action.
