Kosovo Tensions, Citizens Protest before Serbian Embassy in Tirana

Civil society citizens has held this Friday a protest in front of the Serbian embassy in Tirana in support of Kosovo, after tensions with Serbia in the northern part of the country.

This gathering was made ahead of the submission by Serbia of its demand to establish military presence in Kosovo, as the barricades located in the north of the country continue to keep the roads towards the border of Jarinja and Bërnjak blocked for seven days.

Local Serbs have set up another barricade very close to the village of Çaber in the direction of Zubin Potok, where they have placed two trucks.

Almost all shops have been closed except for food and pharmacies, while classes are not being held in schools and faculties.

This situation with shops and schools in the north will last at least until December 18 by order of the crisis headquarters formed days ago and led by the chairman of the Serbian List, Goran Rakiç.
