A fatal accident was recorded this Monday morning at 06:30, at the entrance to the city of Kuçova, in the place called "Meteor".

He was crashed to death by a 31-year-old man who was driving his vehicle, Fiat Punto, with license plate AA 667 LK, hit a 70-year-old man who was riding a bicycle on the road.

The vehicle driven by Marineo Bregu and the elderly man riding a bicycle were traveling in the same direction when the car hit the elderly man from behind.

Initially, the 70-year-old man flew into the windshield of the vehicle and then fell on the road. The body of the elderly man remained lifeless on the street for several minutes, waiting for the ambulance, and was then transported to the Morgue of the Regional Hospital of Berat.

The identity of the victim and his place of residence are still unknown, while no family member of the victim has yet arrived at the morgue. 

Numerous police forces and road traffic experts went to the scene. According to the police, the cause of the serious accident was the speed with which the vehicle was traveling on this road.
