Kurti Seeks Release of Kosovo Police Officers
Prime Minister Albin Kurti said Thursday that in this meeting they talked about the Serbian aggression against Kosovo the day before, where three police officials were kidnapped.
In a press conference after the meeting of the Security Council, Kurti demanded the immediate release of the three officials and asked the international community to condemn such an act.
Furthermore, Kurti said that what surprises him the most in all this is the silence of the international community in the face of this situation.
"The topic was Serbia's aggression the day before, which kidnapped three Kosovo police officials inside the territory. We discussed yesterday's case, it was aggression against our country, revenge against the state police who are fighting crime and intent for destabilization at the time when we proposed the 5-point plan to normalize the situation in the north.
For this reason, our institutions have increased their readiness. For security reasons, as an immediate step, controls with Serbia have been conditioned by exercising detailed controls. Yesterday's violation has prompted us to take this step, leading to the detention of some objects when we see that they are suspicious.
