Lectures in Public Universities to Be Compulsory; Ministry Says
Although it seems that it will not be an ordinary academic year, since at the start of the school the lecturers have announced protests, a new instruction comes to the students of the public universities in the country. Starting this year, students will have to attend lectures, as they have become compulsory.
According to an instruction approved by the Ministry of Education, it is learned that the faculties will keep a register of absences in lectures and seminars, and then the attendance schedule will be made, where it will be determined whether or not the student will enter the exam. In addition to the time wasted, they pay an additional fee for both the autumn exams, as well as an annual fee in case of repeating the entire year.
At the end of the academic year, the Ministry of Education has signed an instruction, no. 13. date 20.06.2022 for "Attendance of the teaching process, according to the type of teaching activity in the auditorium and the study cycle", in which the amount of hours that each student must attend seminars and lectures, depending on the type of cycle, is determined of the study you follow.
The instruction states that for 2-year professional studies, at least 50% of the lectures are required, while to complete a Professional Master, at least 60% of the classes are required. Meanwhile, for the third cycle of studies, participation is lower, where attendance is required in 50% of classes.
