Mafia Kill in Tirana Shows Lack of Govt’s Hand in Public Safety; SMI
Mafia-like assassination in Tirana shows the total lack of Prime Minister Edi Rama’s government efforts to guarantee public safety and makes the citizens feel unsafe, pointed out Thursday the former Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) MP Perparim Spahiu.
Spahiu believes that the Socialist Party (SP) aims only at “ambushing†the maskless teenagers or imposing penalty notices on vehicles so as to fill the empties coffers of the state.
“Today's mafia assassination in the middle of Tirana, in addition to bringing the feeling of insecurity to the citizens, also shows the total lack of state hand in guaranteeing public safety.
It cannot be otherwise, in a country where the Renaissance intends to ambush teenagers without masks or to fine cars in alleys to fill the empty coffers of the state.
Thousands of honest officers cannot be discouraged by a handful of leaders who aim for power votes and partnership with crime, tarnishing the sacred uniformâ€, said the Ex-Member of Parliament.
This reaction by SMI’s Former MP came after Behar Seferi, previously convicted of narcotics trafficking, was murdered mafia-style near the center of the Albanian capital Tirana earlier today.
