The court of Fier has left 29-year-old Albi Meçini in prison, who was arrested on Wednesday after being caught with 2 bags of explosives, while it is suspected that he was going to commit an assassination. 

Mecini was stopped on Wednesday morning on the Mbrostar-Fier road axis. Judge Nertil Dushku has decided to confirm the prison arrest after listening to the prosecutor of the case, Aida Cakaj.

The young man was caught with 2 bags of artisanal explosives (about 21.3 kilograms), assembled for remote detonation and with canisters of fuel (gasoline), in 2 vehicles.

Meanwhile, he was also wanted for the kidnapping and disappearance of Fatmir Sulovari and Leonard Theodhori in Saranda.
