An attack with explosives was prevented this Wednesday in Fier. The police of Fier have announced that they have put 29-year-old Albi Meçini in handcuffs and have announced the search for his two accomplices, Arafat Manërkolli, 27 years old, resident of Dibër and Ervis Cukali, 25 years old, resident of Tirana, with whom the young man would commit the criminal event.

The young man was caught with 2 bags of artisanal explosives (about 21.3 kilograms), assembled for remote detonation and canisters of fuel (gasoline), in 2 vehicles. 

After the investigations, it turned out that the 29-year-old was previously convicted for helping 4 citizens leave the prison. 

It also turned out that the arrested 29-year-old arrested and the 25-year-old Sebastian Lataj announced as wanted by the Police are suspects for the kidnapping of Fatmir Sulovari and Leonard Theodhori. 

"The 29-year-old arrested with bags of explosives, and a 25-year-old wanted by the Police, are also suspects for the kidnapping of citizens L. Th. and F.S., carried out in Saranda, on 09.04.2023", says the police announcement.
