Man Involved in Ex-Cop’s Murder Sentenced to Prison

Appellate instance of the Special Court Against Organized Crime and Corruption (GJKKO) has left Tuesday in force the decision for the sentence to 25 years in prison for Blendi Teta, accused of involvement in the murder of Santiago Malko.
This decision of the Special Court, which sentenced Blendi Teta to 25 years in prison, was handed down in January 2022, but was appealed, while former police officer Santiago Malko was executed inside his car on August 27, 2019.
Malko was suspected of being involved in various criminal offenses, one of which was an event in 2018, in the area of the former Kinostudio, where two brothers were injured.
Shortly before the assassination, Santiago Malko had left his BMW X5 car in an area wash and after coming out on the main road, a vehicle came out in front of him, from which it was fired with automatic rifles.
On his part, Blendi Teta has confessed that he was having dinner in the basement of the bar 'La F…', in the area of Fresk, near the cable car, a bar which is in the possession of brothers Leonard and Erlis D.
That day they stayed exactly in the basement of this restaurant, where these citizens have an environment that serves as an office.
There, these citizens had bought grilled meat and some other food, which they consumed. Around 20:00, Leonard and Erlis told him that they would get up because they had a job.
“Get up guys, we have work to do”, said one of them and then they were then taken from the office and all came out together and got into two vehicles. One was a white Skoda Roomster with an AA… license plate, (he does not remember the other numbers), with black rear windows, rear doors and rear window, as well as another 'Golf type vehicle. 5 ', gray color, with aluminum discs, with license plate AA 221 XB, a vehicle which he knows belongs to the citizen E. Metani., who they called “Little Visi”.
