Tirana court sentenced Fredi Rrushi to 15 years in prison for the murder of businessman Rrushdi Hoxha. 

Because the process against him took place with a shortened trial, 1/3 of his sentence is reduced and thus he will suffer 10 years of imprisonment. Earlier, the prosecutor's office requested his sentence to 18 years in prison. 

Fredi Rrushi was arrested for the murder of businessman Rruzhdi Hoxha in November 2021. The body of businessman Rruzhdi Hoxha was found dead after being shot with a bullet in the head, on November 6, 2021, in Qafë Molë in the Dajti area. 

According to the investigators, the perpetrator took Ruzhdi Hoxha's phone and threw it away, but it was found by chance by a taxi driver who sold it at a phone repairing shop, where the police found and confiscated it. This helped in the discovery of the corpse and then in solving the murder.

Fredi Rrushi killed Rruzhdi Hoxha due to a conflict over a debt the victim hadn't returned to the perpetrator.
