Mercure Enters the Rising Hospitality Market of Albania with a Stylish Hotel in Tirana

Albania is becoming one of the rising travel destinations as more and more European tourists are interested in discovering this hidden gem. In 2023 the country was visited by over 8,3 million tourists which market this year as one of the best in the local tourism market. Acknowledging its growing potential, Accor continues to expand its European portfolio with new property joining the Albanian market at the beginning of 2024. Mercure Tirana will be one of the first hotels opened on the global celebration of the brand’s 50th anniversary.

The newly built property will located in a captivating development conveniently situated on one of the city’s main arteries that connects Albania’s capital to its main coastal city of Durrës. Offering 64 modern and comfortable rooms and interiors inspired by local culture and tradition, guests could immerse themselves in truly Albanian vibes and spend time as locals. There will be a restaurant, bar, pool and business amenities waiting for every visitor. With Tirana’s downtown within easy reach and the country’s largest airport a short drive away, it is a perfect gateway to the natural wonders and cultural marvels, both modern and ancient, of Albania – a rising tourist destination in the Mediterranean region. The hotel will welcome the first guests by the beginning of the new year.
