With just over a month left until the end of Ilir Meta's term as head of state, he has indicated the steps he will follow in the last days of this post. 

Invited to Fax News, Meta stated that the presidency will continue to be an invincible stronghold of democracy and national interest until July 24. 

Meta said that the opposition took a suicidal step by doing what the majority wanted, from which only its leadership emerged victorious, referring here to the former leader of the Democrats, Lulzim Basha. 

"Unfortunately, the opposition has done exactly what the majority wanted. It has helped and facilitated its way in capturing the justice system, through the boycott of the reform and in the boycott of the local elections. In the conditions of a complete and comprehensive siege of this institution, with a majority that had usurped every institution, what I gave as a promise I believe was fulfilled, that until July 24, 2022, this Presidency and this institution will continue to be an invincible fortress of democracy and national interest, and so it will continue until the coming days until July 24, 2022 ", said the head of state.
