President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, called for the liberalization of visas for Kosovo upon her arrival at the EU-Western Balkans summit in Brussels.  

In her speech, Metsola stressed that the Western Balkans should find its place in the European home and that this is the day when enlargement should be used in wartime. 

"It is a historic day. Today is the day when we really should start accession negotiations for Albania and North Macedonia, and we should really start talking to ensure visa liberalization for Kosovo.
