Minister of Health Urges Democrat MPs to Wear Mask

The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu, was invited to this Monday's hearing at Parliamentary Committee on Health, to report on the epidemiological progress in the country and the measures being taken in schools, universities and dormitories.

Before starting the speech, the minister said that the MPs must put on masks to protect health and respect the protocol. This request was not respected by the Democratic MP, Oriola Pampuri, who said that she could not wear the mask of hypocrisy, at a time when students appear without masks in the auditoriums and bus lines are overcrowded with citizens.

Part of debate:

Manastriliu: Before I speak I want to make a request for wearing masks. To protect the health of those children we mention, but also our health. Thus respecting the protocol.

Pampuri: I refuse to wear the mask of hypocrisy. Given that at the same time bus lines are overcrowded and students in auditoriums are without masks.

Manastirliu: We started vaccinating plus 18-year-olds at the end of July and we did not stop it. We have an open vaccination. Persons plus 16 years of age can be vaccinated at vaccination points. Meanwhile, with 2 doses, a total of over 42.000 young people have been vaccinated

Vokshi: Thank you for the information you have about vaccination, but please schools. Tell us how many students are affected? Do not do vaccination propaganda here!

Manastirliu: I do not propagandize with health. Be patient and listen. If you have lost go ask because you are running an important commission and do not propagandize with health.

Vokshi: Do the propaganda on the steps of the prime minister. How many students are infected?

Manastirliu: You do the propaganda, not me.
