Minister Slams Ex-Premier over Language Used in Parliament

The plenary session in the Assembly continued with strong debates on its second day.

Minister of State for Relations with the Parliament, Elisa Spiropali, responded to the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, who called on the Speaker of the Parliament Lindita Nikolla not to tolerate Edi Rama's behavior. Spiropali stated that Berisha is the last to talk about code of ethics.

"He who has used his tongue as a conqueror's sword without mercy, not only for opponents but also for fathers, mothers and children, has never been shy. I don't know with what courage you use those words that you bring out with the ease of one who doesn't care who hears it. It was said by a former leader of this country who never leaves the words thief, ordinary, toilet, etc., unused. You cannot talk about ethics", said Spiropali.
