Montenegrin Arrested for Drug Trafficking at Muriqan Border
At the border point of Muriqani, a 30-year-old man from Montenegro was handcuffed, who tried to traffic quantities of suspected narcotics, cannabis and amphetamine, to his country.
During the control at the border point, narcotics were found and seized from the 30-year-old. His car and mobile phone were also seized.
"The Border Police Services of Muriqan, in cooperation with the specialists of the Narcotics Investigation Section of the Shkodër Local Police Directorate, following controls for the prevention and suppression of border crimes, have struck a case of attempted narcotics trafficking.
In this Border Point, on the way out, the Police services have stopped for control a "Volkswagen" type vehicle driven by the Montenegrin citizen N. B., in which quantities of suspected narcotics cannabis and amphetamine were found.
The quantities of narcotics were seized as material evidence, together with the vehicle and mobile phone of citizen N. B.
At the end of the procedural actions, the Montenegrin citizen N. B., 30 years old, resident of Bar, Montenegro, was arrested red handed, for the criminal offense 'Trafficking in narcotics'.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the Shkodra General Jurisdiction, for further actions," the police said.
