New Details on Tirana Shooting, Perpetrator Most Wanted Fugitive in Europe
New details are revealed regarding the shooting which took place on Saturday evening in Tirana. The perpetrator is identified as Aldo Gjini, 31 years old.
Albaniandailynews.com has secured a document from the Luxembourg authorities, which have declared Aldo Gjini internationally wanted and he is considered as one of the most wanted fugitives in Europe.
Luxembourg justice authorities suspect that Aldo Gjini is the perpetrator of attempted murder on 24 November 2020 in the City of REMICH (Grand Duchy of Luxembourg). Aldo Iamandi (Gjini) fired a pistol and seriously injured a person. Since he left the crime scene, his whereabouts were unknown until he terrorized Tirana last night.
On 11 February 2021, a European Arrest Warrant was issued against him. Investigations have established that the fugitive lived in Belgium (Brussels) in 2020 and used the Mercedes G AMG vehicle there.
International arrest warrant:
FAST LUXEMBOURG is searching for Aldo IAMANDI (Gjini), who is suspected of attempted murder on 24th of November 2020 around 10.30 p.m. in the City of REMICH (Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg).
The suspected offender Aldo IAMANDI fired a handgun and injured severely one victim. Since he left the crime scene, his whereabouts are unknown.
On 11th of February 2021, an European Arrest Warrant and an International Arrest Warrant were issued.
It should be mentioned that the presumed suspect could still be in possession of his firearm.
!!! UPDATE (28th of April 2021) : Investigations have established that the fugitive was living in Belgium (Brussels) in 2020 and used vehicle Mercedes G AMG there !!!
Aldo Gjini injured two young men Altin Gjoka, 32 years old, and Jetmir Marashi, 28 years old, after a quarrel for banal motives in Todi Shkurti Street in the Capital. (Read here).
Albaniandailynews.com also learned that Aldo Gjini was arrested in 2016 by Italian police as part of a gang of drug dealers in the town of Askol. Gjini, 26 at the time, was handcuffed along with his brother Andis Gjini.
The gang set up by the Albanians supplied cocaine and marijuana to the suburbs of Askoli. At the time of the arrest, the Albanians and a young Italian man were found with 250 grams of cocaine and 1 kilogram of hashish.
