The new Director General of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, held several introductory meetings to convey to the structures, the vision and the standard that he seeks to establish in the State Police, in relation to the behaviour and approach to community and the strategy for prevention and concrete measures against crimes in general and against serious crimes and organized crime in particular. 

In the meeting with the directors of the Departments of the General Directorate of the State Police, the directors of the Local Police Directorates and the directors of the Local Border and Migration Directorates, the new Director General requested a change in the vision they have. 

"I am determined to change the vision, in order to set a new standard in relation to the approach to the community and the fight against crime, and not to change names. I want directors who do not command from the office, but are on the ground, to control, direct and manage the activity of police structures. I am looking for clear analyses for the realization of the objectives you have received since the beginning of the year, analyzes for the problems and proposals for their solution. Discipline at work and performance in the community are important factors for an organization that produces order and security. Do not tolerate or influence the structures to help anyone who is in violation of the law. I, as the General Director, will never call you to help or tolerate anyone, so I firmly request that you implement the law and protect and help the structures when they implement the law with anyone", said Rrumbullaku. 

During the meeting with the structures of the Local Directorate of the Tirana Police, the new General Director of the State Police requested full control of the territory and the way the structures operate on the ground; immediate change of the situation in terms of crime prevention in general and special analyses for criminal events, drawing out the responsibilities and shortcomings of the structures in that territory where criminal events or crimes in the family have occurred. 

In the meeting with the officers of the Tirana Traffic Police Commissariat and those of the Traffic Police Directorate, the General Director requested that the Traffic Police in Tirana and throughout the country change the way they operate so far in relation to the behaviour towards the violators of the Traffic Code and the approach to the citizens. 

The General Director has requested the full operation of technology, more efficient planning of structures, avoiding the presence of Police officers at traffic lights; controls should be selective and in cases of detection of violations, not control of every vehicle on the road. 

Emphasis was also placed on the monitoring, control and punishment of Police employees and their superiors, by the leaders of the Police structures themselves, in case they find that their subordinates abuse their duties or do not have the appropriate performance in relation to the behaviour to road users. 

The General Director of the State Police will continue the meetings with Police structures throughout the country.
