New Acting Head of Tirana Prosecution Appointed

Arens Çela has been appointed Thursday as new acting head of Tirana Prosecution by the High Prosecutorial Council (HPC). He took the bless of all members (10 votes) of the Council just one day after the discharge of former head Elisabeta Imeraj by the Appeal Chamber.

Cela passed the vetting process successfully a year ago.

He was appointed prosecutor in 2006 at the Lushnja Prosecutor's Office. Later he was transferred to Berat and later he was transferred to the Prosecution for Serious Crimes in Tirana and from 2013-2016 he held the position of director.

Recently he has been commanded as a specialist / assistant magistrate in the Directorate of Studies, Inspection and other Legal Affairs in the General Prosecutor's Office.
