Number of Albanians asylum seekers to European Union countries reached 4810 persons in the end of May, 2022. In just five months all these people tried to stay in EU according to Eurostat data. This number doubled compared to a year ago.

Unfortunately the number of the Albanian emigrants is higher, because in this data are not included those who travel with job contrate or those who seek asylum in Great Britain.

According to Eurostat only during May, 960 people from Albania required asylum in EU countries.
