Parliament Tensions, Balla Urges Law Institutions to Punish Perpetrators

The Minister of the Interior Taulant Balla has called on the prosecution institutions to follow the implementation of the law for everyone equally, referring to the tensions and disturbances caused in the Parliament.

Meanwhile, during the session held today in the hall, the opposition MPs lit smokers and papers, causing a fire.

Where the act, says the Minister of the Interior, according to the Penal Code, related to the criminal acts of intentional destruction of property is punishable by up to five years in prison.

"The Penal Code clearly defines in articles 151 and 154 the criminal offenses of intentional destruction/damage of property by fire and other means, which are punishable by up to five years in prison.

While these serious acts have been repeatedly referred to the Prosecutor's Office, the prosecuting institution must guarantee that the law applies equally to everyone and the deputy can never avoid the law, benefiting or hiding behind immunity!" Balla said.
