President of the Republic Ilir Meta welcomed this Monday the call of the head of the Central Elections Commission (CEC), Ilirjan Celibashi for the parties to submit the lists of candidates and the required documentation by March 8. 

In a Facebook post, Meta writes that more parties, different choices for citizens, and candidates with high moral integrity, means more opportunities for a historic turnout in the April 25 elections. 

"I fully support the call of the State Election Commissioner, Mr. Ilirjan Celibashi, addressed to political parties, to submit the lists of candidates within the deadlines. The more parties, the more different elections for the citizens, the more candidates with high moral and civic integrity and untouched by decriminalization, which means more opportunities for historic participation in the April 25 referendum on the European future of Albania.", highlighted Meta.
