Within the month of February, the service of personalized plates for vehicles will be launched, where drivers will be able to combine 5 to 7 characters, which will include at least 2 numbers and standard spaces, in the current formats of vehicle plates. 

Blendi Gonxhe, the head of the General Directorate of Road Transport Services, announces that certain words or meanings will be prohibited, from an ethical point of view, while combinations that will be considered rare, unique, with wide interest values will be offered in the periodic auction that DPSHTRR will develop for even more special license plates. 

"Within February 2023, the NEW service of personalized license plates will be launched, the category with online composition and against special rates, where combinations of 5 to 7 characters will be enabled, which will include at least 2 numbers and standard spaces, in the current formats of vehicle license plates, being confirmed first by the relevant commission! 

Censorship will prohibit certain words or meanings, from an ethical point of view, while the combinations that will be considered rare, unique, with wide interest values will be offered in the periodic auction that DPSHTRR will hold for even more special license plates (combinations with 4 characters below and with only numbers or letters, words/full names, with special offers will only be by public and transparent auction, to maximize value)! Get ready! Beautifully fantasize your combination of license plate characters! 

The innovation does not end there, this new service is accompanied by the right of the buyer to transfer this license plate to another, newer vehicle against the corresponding transfer fee!

The income from this service will go towards affording those vital services for citizens/entities whose costs and fees DPSHTRR has been helping to reduce for years, for the modernization of the systems and infrastructure of road transport services, for educational projects on traffic and safety road, for Retro activities and awareness events, for social responsibility and solidarity initiatives, for the financing of sectoral reforms, for public investment programs from Albanian Automotive and the increase of the entity's capacities!", writes Gonxhe.
