The new Start-Up platform was presented at the Innovation Hub, at The Pyramid of Tirana, with the participation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, Minister of Economy and Innovation Delina Ibrahimaj, as well as the virtual presence of the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence Diella.

The Startup Albania platform, a new step, aims to support new entrepreneurship, innovative ideas, and youth creativity.

Prime Minister Edi Rama emphasized during his speech the need for simplification of procedures in the IT sector. Rama said that the Start-Up platform will be connected to e-Albania through Artificial Intelligence. "With the support of the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, we will create a powerful network that will serve as a bridge between IT engineers in the public and private sectors. Our goal is to allow everyone to work with data, following an artificial intelligence-oriented practice,” Rama said.

“We are aware that the biggest problem of this community, anywhere in the world, is bureaucracy. We will take concrete steps to eliminate it, starting with the issuance of residence and work permits, as well as all the necessary documents to work domestically and abroad. These barriers cannot be overcome by relying solely on the human resources of public administration. We must all work together, for the common benefit," Rama noted.

Furthermore, Minister Ibrahimaj emphasized that the Startup Agency will return to a complete version, thanks to procedures supported by artificial intelligence.

"Very soon, a training module will be added to the platform. Our goal for the next four years is to create bridges between young people and the market. We see data as an asset that should be used and exploited. We want to have a flexible state, where this data is used by young people to create innovation. We will soon publish the report on startups. In these two years, we have had a doubling of the number of startups. 37% of them were founded by women, while the global average is only 16%,” Ibahimaj said.

On the other hand, the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence Diella welcomed the launch of the event, saying that “innovation is not about replacing people with machines; it is about empowering people to make reality what once seemed beyond reality.”

The Startup Albania Platform is an important step in supporting new entrepreneurship, aiming to provide support through digital education, promotion of startups, transparent and efficient interaction, internationalization, and information on the latest developments—including cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.
