PM Rama Opens Art Exhibition in Athens

Prime Minister Edi Rama has opened this Tuesday an exhibition with his artistic creations in Athens.

In his speech, while thanking his collaborators for making this exhibition possible, Rama invited those present to see his works, while he said that art does not need translation.

"What you will see tonight, I hope, will speak for itself.  I don't want to talk too much about it.  I don't think art needs the artist to translate it.  Self-made sheet art.  As Edgar Degas said, art is not about telling people what you see, but about telling them what they don't see, so everyone is free to see whatever they want.

My art is abstract, with some memories here and there, and it's quite democratic, in the sense that it allows everyone to think and see whatever they want", said Rama.

Present at this ceremony were senior figures of Greek politics, such as Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias, as well as other artists and politicians.
