Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama has wished all Catholic and Orthodox believers a Merry Christmas. 

In a social media statement, the Head of Government wished all citizens for blessings and happy holidays. 

"With this rare picture of the birth of Christ, painted in the atelier of Çetiri, as a symbol of God's love for humanity, I wish you blessings and white holidays@Museum "Onufri", Berat", wrote Rama. 

However, December 25 is the marked day of the birth of Jesus Christ, which is celebrated all over the world. 

In Albania, Christmas started to be celebrated again after the 90s, when religious belief was allowed, prohibited by the dictatorship.
