Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama has conveyed this Monday his condolences to the Italian people for the death of former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.

In a short social networks statement, PM Rama underlined that Berlusconi has been and will remain a friend of Albanians.

"Farewell president and good friend of Albania", wrote PM Rama.

Former Italian Prime Minister passed away at the age of 86, as a result of the health problems he had with his heart while he was in cardiology re-amination at the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan.

However, Silvio Berlusconi served three times as Prime Minister of Italy, namely in the years 1994-1995, 2001-2006 and in the years 2008-2011.
