Prime Minister Rama remembered this Thursday the night of the tragic earthquake of November 26 last year, through a video message in his social networks. 

In his story about those first moments of 03.54 when Tirana, Durrës, Thumana, Laçi and Lezha were shaken by the strong earthquake, PM Rama says that he has suffered the greatest fear in his life. 

"I had a fear, a strange fear of loneliness. A feeling of loneliness, how to get out of this catastrophic situation for thousands and thousands of people. These have been the craziest days of my life. I do not remember the dates after 2 or 3 days", says Rama.

However, the Premier declared that every crisis is an opportunity and he was aware that the tragedy must be transformed into a new beginning -referring to the reconstruction process of new apartments buildings, houses, schools, etc., destroyed by the earthquake. 

On November 26, 2019, a devastating earthquake of 6.4 magnitude struck Albania, leaving 51 dead people, around one thousand injured and thousands others homeless.
