President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, honored the prominent artist of Albanian cinematography Elida Janushi and the pioneer of the camera, Dhimitër Lala with the high title "Grand Master". 

The Head of State decorated the renowned stage and screen actress Mrs. Elida Janushi, with the motivation: “In appreciation of the rare acting skills as well as the contributions to the Albanian art and cinematography, given through numerous roles played on stage and screen. With gratitude for the accomplished realization of dozens of characters of women and girls interpreted and portrayed with special individuality through her rich emotional world and with the found plastic colors. ”

While the master of the camera, Dhimitër Lala, was praised by President Meta with the motivation: “For the valuable professional contribution given as one of the first operators and pioneers of the camera, occupying a deserved place in the history of Albanian cinematography and thus throwing its foundations in our country. With gratitude for the realization with high artistic mastery during his career of dozens of documentaries and chronicles, serving as an example of inspiration for the younger generations".

In the greeting speech addressed to family members and personalities of art, culture and cinematography, present at the solemn ceremony, the Head of State praised these two figures. 

"Albanian artists have always been welcomed in the Institution of the President of the Republic, as a sign of appreciation for their extraordinary contribution to our country and society. Even in the most difficult times, such as this situation we are going through with Covid-19, man expresses inner emotions and desires and seeks support in art. Because art is a way to promote social change as well, especially during difficult social periods. As part of the appreciation for Albanian art, we will honor two figures, who in their genres have given an extremely large contribution for decades," stressed the President.
