President of Albania, Ilir Meta has sent a congratulatory message this Wednesday to his counterpart Stevo Pendarovski on the occasion of Independence Day of North Macedonia. 

President Meta says that the cooperation between the two countries is extended to all areas and serves very good neighborly relations. Meta also expressed confidence that Albania and North Macedonia will successfully overcome the challenges in the EU membership process.

Dear Mr. President, Your Excellency, Stevo Pendarovski, 

On the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of North Macedonia, allow me, on behalf of the Albanian people and mine, to convey the warmest and heartfelt congratulations to you and all the citizens of your friendly country. 

I am pleased to appreciate the progress of our very good relations and the cooperation between our countries that are based on the common visions, interests and common bilateral, regional, global, European and Euro-Atlantic perspectives. The friendship and cooperation between Albania and North Macedonia is extended to all areas and serves the very good neighborly relations between the two countries, the interests and the future of our citizens. 

I am confident that our joint and continuous efforts in the process of accession to the European Union of our countries will successfully overcome the challenges that slow down and hinder the achievement of this important goal for the future of our citizens, but also region. 

I am happy to assess that the future of cooperation between our two neighboring countries will be successful thanks to the ever-better interethnic relations between Albanians and Macedonians. 

The Macedonian community in Albania and the Albanians of North Macedonia, who have always been supporters of the state-building and integration of North Macedonia into NATO and the European Union, are sound bridges of friendship and inalienable values ​​that must be preserved, supported and promoted with all our positive energies.
