President Appoints Bajram Begaj New Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces
President of the Republic, Ilir Meta has decreed this Wednesday the appointment of Major General Bajram Rushit Begaj as Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces in Albania.
The last held the position of Commander of the Doctrine and Training Command, but now he will have an even more important task.
On July 3, Meta promoted Commander Bajram Begaj to the title of Major General, and starting from this Wednesday he will be the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, a task previously held by Bardhyl Kollçaku.
"The President of the Republic Sh.T.Z Ilir Meta decreed today the appointment of Major General Bajram Rushit Begaj, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania.
Major General Bajram Begaj held the position of Commander of the Doctrine and Training Command," the Presidency made known for the public.
Major General Bajram Begaj was born on March 20, 1967, in Rrogozhina. He completed his studies at the Faculty of Medicine in the Department of General Medicine in 1989 and was awarded the title of active officer in the specialty "Medicine" in 1998.
During his military career he has performed:
"High Course for Security and Defense", in Albania;
"Advanced postgraduate school of medicine", in Albania;
"Postgraduate specialization in the profile Gastrohepatology", in Albania;
"Hospital Management Course" and "Strategic Medical Leadership Course", USA;
"Specialization in Medicine" and "Health Course", in Greece.
Major General Bajram Rushit Begaj, has completed the "Doctorate in the Field of Medicine" in Albania and holds the title "Associate Professor" in Medicine.
He has performed various tasks such as:
Doctrine and Training Command Commander,
Chief of the Military Medical Unit and Deputy Military Director of SUT,
Director of the Military Hospital,
Director of the Health Inspectorate and Chief Inspector and Adviser of the Health Inspectorate, at the Central University General Military Staff, as well as other duties in the structures of the Armed Forces.
