Third Candidacy Submitted for Head of SPAK
Prosecutor Altin Dumani has become the third magistrate who has submitted his candidacy to become the head of SPAK (Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime).
Until now, prosecutors Edvin Kondili and Adnan Xholi have officially filed their candidacy for the head of SPAK.
The deadline to apply for this position, which is currently managed by Arben Kraja, is November 2, until 00:00.
Altin Dumani started his career in the justice system as a judicial police officer in 1999, while in 2000 he was appointed head of the Tropoja Prosecutor's Office.
In 2004, Dumani was elected Prosecutor of Serious Crimes where he also held the position of Deputy Director until 2007.
In this year, he was transferred to the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana in the position of deputy director in the economic crime sector.
In 2010, Altin Dumani was promoted to the Appeal of the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana and from the beginning of 2019 he was appointed as the head of the Appeal's Prosecution for Serious Crimes.
He is also engaged in teaching as an expert at the School of Magistrates.
He is known as the "uncompromising" prosecutor. Altin Dumani became the head of the prosecution for the first time in Tropoja, in 2000, a position which was rejected by many others due to the several issues.
