Renaissance Govt Will Be Remembered as Destroyer of Culture; Kryemadhi

Renaissance government and Ministry of Culture will be remembered as the ones which ruined Albania’s culture along with its material and historic values, the Chairwoman of Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) Monika Kryemadhi stressed on Wednesday.

According to SMI’s Chair, Prime Minister Edi Rama’s administration will remain in people’s memory as the one which demolished the National Theater and many other cultural heritage buildings in the capital. They will be remembered as the institutions that razed values “to clear the path” for concrete buildings and money laundering through construction, she added.

“The Ministry of Culture and the government of Renaissance will be remembered as the destroyers of Culture and its material and historical values. They will be remembered for the destruction of the National Theater as well as tens of first and second category cultural heritage buildings in Tirana.

They will be remembered as the destroyers of values to pave the way to concreting and money laundering through construction. Therefore, the SMI and the United Opposition must seriously invest in preserving the historical and cultural values of Albanians. We must recover as much as possible from this Taliban-like destruction of the Renaissance.

The United Opposition is not just a political naming, but also a much wider coalition. It is a union with citizens like Jonuzi and with all the representatives and transmitters of national values and their preservers”, highlighted Kryemadhi among others.
