RENEA Forces Conduct Joint Exercise with US 'Green Berets'
The RENEA special forces have conducted a joint exercise with the "Green Berets" unit of the US Army. The news was announced by the police itself through an announcement, where it also shared images from the joint exercises.
According to the police, these exercises were conducted in the framework of the fight against terrorism.
"The elite Special Unit RENEA and the US Military Special Forces/"Green Berets", side by side in intensive anti-terrorism training.
The operatives of the elite Special Department RENEA have developed a 5-week intensive training, of a high level of professionalism and expertise, together with representatives of the US Military Special Force/"Green Berets". This training took place in the premises of the RENEA Special Department and in the long-distance range, in Biza.
The "JCET 2022" training engaged, through numerous movements, methods, reactions and maneuvers, the Sniper Unit, tactical groups and other sections of the RENEA Special Department. The main objective of this training was to provide American expertise and best practices for command and control processes during complex anti-terrorism police operations. "JCET 2022" focused specifically on the role and task of the RENEA Special Department during combat situations in open and closed environments, surveillance, targeting and execution of the objective, as well as in the successful completion of police operations in rural environments, with difficulties added terrain.
The representatives of the American Military Special Force/"Green Berets" appreciated the professionalism shown during these trainings by the elite Special Department RENEA officers, and expressed their full readiness to assist the Special Department with further training, for other aspects of their work," the police said.
