Rotterdam Mayor Threatened in Tirana during Conference League Final

The mayor of Rotterdam, Ahmed Aboutaleb was threatened during the final of the Conference League in Tirana. The news was announced by journalist Artan Hoxha.

"The Conference League final was the first of this trophy and that's why it had so many echoes. The mayor of Rotterdam has arrived on the day of the final in the morning. 'Fanzone' was on the side of the Interior Ministry.

Dutch authorities launched the investigation because a banner written in the German dialect was unveiled between the groups of fans. It has been a threatening message to the mayor of Rotterdam.

Authorities there immediately launched an investigation and Albanians were asked to take extra measures to secure him. It was thought that this group of people could endanger the life of the mayor of Rotterdam. The Dutch authorities no further than last Tuesday asked our authorities for additional information about some Dutch citizens. They have taken this issue very seriously. They want to prevent an event that could happen to them there. They asked for additional information.

An investigation that we in Albania have neglected. I do not know the answer, but the Albanian prosecution is also pursuing this case. We have an investigation that continues both in Albania and in the Netherlands ", said Hoxha.
