Russian Ambassador Presence at North Border Worries Kosovo Presidency
The Presidency of Kosovo has reacted to the Russian ambassador in Belgrade who visited this Sunday the military units of Serbia that have been mobilized on the border with Kosovo.
President Vjosa Osmani's chief of staff, Blerim Vela, says Aleksandar Vucic is following the agenda of his Russian friend Putin.
"The Minister of Defense of Serbia and the Ambassador of Russia in Belgrade visited the military units gathered on the border with Kosovo. Vucic is following Putin's agenda to undo all US, EU and NATO investments in the region, which made him peaceful and prosperous," he said.
Earlier, it was the deputy chairman of the PDK, Vlora Çitaku, who denounced the presence of the Russian ambassador in Belgrade, near the border between Kosovo and Serbia, asking what he was doing there. "What is the Russian ambassador doing in Belgrade by patrolling the border between Kosovo and Serbia. Why is he there with the Serbian Minister of Defense?" She wrote.
Serbian Defense Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic, accompanied by Serbian Army Chief of Staff Milan Mojsilovic and Russian Ambassador to Belgrade Aleksandar Bocan Kharchenko, visited Serb units in Raska, near the Jarinje border, at a time when the situation is quite tense after blocking customs points for a week.
