The Democrat Member of Parliament surrendered to Tirana police this Friday after Court condemned him with one year of jail for false denunciation. He accused the brother of the former Minister of Interior Affairs, Fatmir Xhafaj, as a drugs trafficking. 

Before he entered the building he meet dozens of supporters who gathered to meet him and blocked the road as a sign of protest.

In front of the supporters, Salianji promised that DP will remove this government who is strongly connected with criminals.

"This is a battle that never ends, no sacrifice goes to waste. In confronting the regime, everyone takes their own costs. I know that many of the citizens who have gathered here have suffered government repression. They suffer daily attacks through institutions, theft, taxes, customs, police. We will dismantle the thugs and the day of the democrats will come," said Salianji.
